Design Engineer / Project Manager

We are a small engineering company with a unique product and large potential for growth. Using our own, patented technology, we design and manufacture automated non-destructive inspection equipment for industrial users.

We are currently looking for a Design Engineer / Project Manager to join our group of highly-qualified engineers and technicians.

The main tasks of this position are:

- Assess customer sites for installation of systems

- Design integration and coordinate manufacture of equipment

- Coordinate installations

- Provide support to existing customers

This is a permanent, full-time position in Lynchburg, Virginia. Candidates are expected to live or move to the area. Local candidacies preferred.

Qualified candidates must have (do not apply if you don’t have all of them):

- 4-year Engineering degree (ME or EE preferred).

- CADD Experience (Microstation preferred).

- Experience working with automated equipment.

- Experience managing projects with multi-functional teams.

- Ability to travel up to 20% of time, domestically and internationally.

- Good communication skills, written and verbal. Comfortable working with customers.

- Hands-on engineer. Not afraid of getting the hands dirty to get the work done.

Other desirable characteristics:

- Experience/knowledge of NDT (non-destructive testing) techniques.

- Knowledge of C++ in Windows environments.

- PC/Network/Windows configuration and troubleshooting experience.
