Software Engineer

We are a small engineering company with a unique product and large potential for growth. Using our own, patented technology, we design and manufacture automated non-destructive inspection equipment for industrial users.

We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our group of highly-qualified engineers and technicians.

The main tasks of this position are:

- Work with customers and internal teams developing software for controlling automated inspection systems

- Provide installation support

- Troubleshoot existing installations

This is a permanent, full-time position in Lynchburg, Virginia. Candidates are expected to live or move to the area. Local candidacies preferred.

Qualified candidates must have (do not apply if you don’t have all of them):

- 4-year Engineering degree or 2-year degree with significant work experience.

- Extensive experience in C++ (LabWindows/CVI preferred).

- Experience working with automated equipment.

- Ability to travel 25%-50% of time, domestically and internationally.

- Good communication skills, written and verbal. Comfortable working with customers.

Other desirable characteristics:

- Experience/knowledge of NDT (non-destructive testing) techniques.

- PC/Network/Windows configuration and troubleshooting experience.
