Job description

Mechanical Engineer interested in designing industrial machines.

Primary responsibilities

  • Calculate design requirements based on technical specifications (heat, load, resistance, wear, size, etc.) - Select materials to be used in the designs- Design the components, tools and machinery.
  • Develop specifications based on marketing, engineering and customer need.
  • Define and coordinate workload, managing multiple projects and cross-functional team.
  • Oversee engineering development through all stages including concept design, engineering, prototyping, qualification, production startup and follow-on technical problem resolution.
  • Establish and manage project timeline and budget.
  • Interface with customers and develop supporting internal/external product documentation.

Candidates Must Have

  • BSME degree.
  • Experienced with machine design, CAD modeling, and design detail and drafting per ASME Y14.5.
  • Proficiency with Solid Works.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial, hands-on engineer with a strong work ethic and “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of time.

Other Relevant Qualifications

  • Experience in Non-Destructive Testing.
  • Experience with robots and machine/system design and/or manufacture.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
