Since the introduction of the Standard Catalog of EMAT Sensors and Accessories in 2008, we have designed and manufactured over a thousand custom EMAT sensors for a variety of applications.
One of the latest additions is also our smallest. This miniature normal beam EMAT sensor has an active area of 0.25” (6.35mm), and it is regularly used for measurement of bolt-load in aerospace fasteners, and for spot thickness measurement in very tight spaces.
