CODA accurately measures very thin metallic components down to 0.2 mm (0.007") / 0.4 mm (0.015") using L waves, providing an accuracy of 2.5 µm (0.0001") even with very thin metallic materials.
EMAT Technique induces the ultrasonic wave in the part. It doesn't require contact or couplant and is unaffected by probe angle which makes possible to accurately inspect curved components with rough, coated or painted surfaces and inspect extremely high-temperature components up to 650ºC.
The Frequency Resonance technique is easy to set up by changing the measuring algorithm on thicknesses below 1mm (0.039"). While piezoelectric transducers require very high frequencies, which are difficult to deploy and produce inconsistent results, Innerspec's EMAT Frequency Resonance uses the same transducers for both thin and thick materials. This permits using the Innerspec's sensors designed to inspect a wide range of materials in harsh, industrial settings, improving the inspection results.
