The following systems use ultrasonic guided waves and vision techniques to detect surface defects on plates, ingots and large components. On thin strip and rod, ultrasonic guided waves provide full-volumetric inspection to detect visible and non-visible, internal defects.
SURFACE INSPECTION ON BILLETS AND TUBES (EMAT)
Provides surface and near-surface inspection of long products (round, square and tubes). Better accuracy than MFL at a fraction of the cost.
LAMINATED METALLIC STRIP (EMAT)
Volumetric inspection of laminated strip for coin stock, bearings and similar multi-layered materials.
SURFACE INSPECTION, ON PLATES, INGOTS (EMAT)
Uses ultrasonic surface waves for automatic surface inspection of ferrous and non-ferrous flat products.
SMALL DIAMETER TUBE AND ROD (EMAT)
Full volumetric inspection of rods. Detects longitudinal defects and inclusions. Well suited for copper, steel and other metals.
