Innerspec purchases Industrial NDT Systems business from Tecnatom-Metalscan.
Innerspec Technologies Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire the Industrial Non-Destructive Testing System business from Tecnatom SA. This acquisition follows the collaboration agreement signed by both companies in 2018 by which Innerspec started manufacturing and selling Tecnatom’s robotic inspection systems for the aerospace industry in North America.
The agreement will provide Innerspec with a world-class portfolio of systems using Phased Array UT and Eddy Current technologies for the inspection of long products, tubes, plates, billets, and welds in tube and pipe. By adding these technologies to its existing EMAT and Laser Vision solutions, Innerspec will consolidate its position as the leader in Non-Destructive Testing systems for factory environments. The agreement includes provisions for joint development of instrumentation and software between Innerspec and Tecnatom to further reinforce the strategic alliance between both companies.
The Industrial NDT Systems will be manufactured in Madrid (Spain) and Forest (Virginia, USA) and sold worldwide through our network of offices and representatives.
